ABOUT ME

I am a recent graduate from Global Business and Digital Arts (GBDA) at the University of Waterloo, with a minor in Computing. What does that really mean? It means I have a breadth of knowledge in design, business, and technology, from studying topics such as UX, global business, and computer science. It also means I have 4 years of experience consistently working on team projects.

I originally chose to study GBDA because of the ‘highly encouraged’ study exchange term. I love to travel and before starting university I had already explored various countries across North America, Europe, and Asia for leisure, and across Canada as a national synchronised swimmer. I ended up studying at the Singapore University of Technology and Design in my final year, where my classes were from an MIT-based curriculum; it was also my first time taking a master’s class despite being an undergraduate! Now I am located in Belgium, continuing to learn more about the world from new perspectives!

Before getting to the exchange term, I learned multiple disciplines including UX design, photography, visual design, front-end development, and project management, but I enjoyed learning about international business and culture the most. To further develop my international business knowledge, I worked as a cast member at Walt Disney World in the summer of 2023, and learned more about effectively creating magic moments for guests to experience!

When I am not abroad, my personalised and empathetic approach to design can be seen in my work in my small embroidery business to design something personal, designing Samsung themes to personalise phones, or in the songs I learn and play on piano or ukulele. To connect with me further click here!
